The husband is a chemical engineer| and the smells from his experiments (and the delivery of what appear to be human remains at all hours) are beginning to arouse the attention of neighbors and local law enforcement offici...。20世纪30年代，古老的中华大地再披磨难，内有国共对峙，外有强梁入侵。国际大都会上海更成为各方势力犬牙交错、勾心斗角的角斗场。时有原中共党员顾顺章叛变革命，致令中共地下党设在上海的组织遭到毁灭性打击，其所负责的电台也岌岌可危。为了挽救革命的果实，党组织派潜伏在敌特总部的地下党员宋英杰（郭广平 饰）护送代号为“银针”的交通员前去与长征队伍汇合，而在战场上立下赫赫战功的红星团团长石破天（郭涛 饰）变成了这次行动的护卫队队长。性格和阅历的差异，令石宋二人心中颇多隔膜，而石破天的妻子更成为了他们矛盾的焦点。
与此同时，敌特头子徐恩铭设下“青蛇计划”，意欲将护送“银针”的行动彻底扼杀……。
