公寓女门房荷妮（乔丝安·巴拉思科 Josiane Balasko 饰）是个肥胖丑陋的54岁寡妇。她小心翼翼的维持着门房粗俗的形象，为自己在密室内筑起一个丰富的精神世界。但是芭洛玛隐约发现了这个秘密，新搬来的日本绅士小津格郎（伊川东吾 饰）亦觉察到了荷妮不为人知的一面。在小津彬彬有礼的引领下，不仅荷妮逐渐卸下卑微的伪装，芭洛玛亦开始重新审视生活与死亡。
