创业男唐小新与18线艺人宋歌因为被黑中介骗了，两人一起租到一间复式房子。因为男女合租发生了一系列的趣事，冤家路窄的两人想方设法要赶对方走。久而久之，两个在大都市打拼的年轻人逐渐互生情愫。。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。
