餐厅经理Jill（林嘉欣 饰）一直是志安（胡兵 饰）的后备情人，Jill为了爱情，只好默默守在志安的身边。Jill的合伙人Jason（曾志伟 饰）快要退休，找来了厨师Jack（郑伊健 饰）接班。刚开始Jill对这位新合伙人好感不大，认为他也叫自己的爱人伤心。但经过了解才知道，原来Jack的女友Grace（陈文媛 饰）也跟志安一样一脚踏两船，Jack跟Jill一样都是后备情人。
