本片根据日暮キノコ的原作改编。。本片改编自真实事迹：当盟军在1945年春天反攻德国时，纳粹决定炸毁莱茵河上最后一座大桥，甚至不惜让自己的士兵失去退路。而盟军则需要这座桥来进攻德国腹地，围绕一座铁桥的激烈攻防战就此展开。。
