无生命的手枪在林华全的电影里获得生命，手枪以人的口吻自述自己的离奇经历，通过自己辗转落于不同人物手上的际遇，从而道出因为不同人偶然获得这把枪所引起的人生百态。曾经与这支枪有关的人物包括外佣、流氓、妓女、绑匪、白领西装友、渔民、省港旗兵，还有小学生。 当有枪在手，谁不想扣扳机？枪本不会杀人，但人却会杀人，就像有权在握时，滥用者十之八九。枪从旺角的公厕游走到长洲再偷渡到深圳，途上连索数命，其中有性工作者和古惑仔，也有头脑冲动的年轻人以及无辜的路人。按摩女郎与男友的爱恨纠缠关系，黑巷枪战引起的灵异情杀，一连串人的故事，都借枪的出现发生了。。Set in 1909, a coal mine in Yorkshire, England has used pit ponies to haul coal for many years.
