故事讲述一个年青海军军官被判枪毙，但醒来时却发现自己未死，还身处一艘核武潜艇内，潜艇原来是从前苏联送给韩国用来偿还借贷的，被视为国家机密，跟它的名字幽灵号一样，船上所有队员都是没有身分的幽灵.... 未几，船上发生巨变，好战的202号中尉杀死了船长控制了幽灵号，向日本进发。
凭韩剧「情伤最是重逢时」为台湾观众认识的崔民秀多次在韩国影展封帝，今次又以此片夺得第三十七届大钟奖影帝，并获日本片商垂青，找他跟长濑智也合演《汉城》。。
