芬兰作曲家艾瑞克（Kari Väänänen 饰）圆满结束了在巴西里约热内卢的演出，正独自坐在Copacabana海滩享受无上惬意的休闲时光。温暖的阳光，蔚蓝的大海，更有穿着大胆身材火辣的拉丁美女穿梭身旁，实乃人间仙境。
艾瑞克邂逅了一位身着红裙的拉丁女子（Andrea Bloom 饰），她对艾瑞克柔声细语，却惹恼了她的男朋友（同时也是一个皮条客）鲁迪（Antonio Calloni 饰）。夜晚，艾瑞克和红衣女子穿梭里约热内卢的街头小巷，一面躲避鲁迪的追踪，一面享受狂欢节的欢快气氛。一切只为激情欲火，如梦如幻……。A young street magician is left to take care of his little sister after his mother's passing and turns to drug dealing in the Los Angeles party scene to keep a roof over their heads. When he gets into trouble with his supplier, his sister is kidnapped and he is forced to rely on both his sleight of hand and brilliant mind to save her。这部探索贾樟柯创作秘密的纪录片筹备长达三年，在巴西圣保罗、法国巴黎、及贾樟柯的老家山西汾阳等地拍摄，影片追踪了贾樟柯在世界各地的艺术活动，采访了贾樟柯的亲友、同学、台前幕后合作者，旨在近距离了解贾樟柯的创作思路及成长过程。导演沃尔特·塞勒斯同时完成了一本关于贾樟柯电影的研究专著，以葡、法、英三种语言出版。。
