四处流浪的青年平野信（永瀬正敏 饰）在某地邂逅风韵犹存的少妇土屋名美（大竹しのぶ 饰），平野为其所吸引，于是尾随来到一家商铺门前。这是一家小型的房屋中介所，由名美及其丈夫土屋英树（室田日出男 饰）共同经营。执著的平野为了接近名美，于是请求英树留在这里工作。
